Response to the "Compassionate Abortionist"

We at XEKE.com been receiving lots of e-mails from folks lately trying to correct our "errors" on our abortion position (we're pro-life, anti-abortion, just to clear that up from the start). One guy stumbled on XEKE.com and proceded to write and tell us that God is pro-abortion and the guy even gave us a list of verses from the Bible to make his point. (Nevermind that these were simply talking points from the athiests and agnostics at Skeptics Annotated Bible. The verses dealt with God's judgment in the days of Joshua and the Judges against the pagan nations. These nations received oportunity after oportunity to change their ways but refused to do so, but I digress. See Chapter 4 in The Case for Faith, by Lee Strobel, for a more elaborative dialogue.) Another XEKE reader gave us a clever-sounding argument making the point that being pro-American (follow me on this) should actually dictate being pro-choice (he really means pro-abortion) because unwanted children are most at risk for drug-use, homelessness, incarceration, etc. . .all of which cost the taxpayer, so therefore, the taxpayer/pro-American should be in favor of abortion and not be pro-life.

Right.

I love the pervading thought out there by the pro-abortionists and agnostics that humans are completely incapable of being responsible and that any time a man and
[Pro-Abortionists] had to put a positive, compassionate spin on eliminating life,
and so the idea of considering the suffering of the
"unwanted child"
was, literally, born.
woman get together in any capacity a baby will be made, and that to spare this apparently unwanted baby stress/harm/disease/lack-of-love/anything-else-bad-that-may-happen, aborting the baby is really in everyones' best interest, including the baby's.

This is a ridiculous line of thinking and no reasonable Conservative should bow to it. Here's why: Conservatives believe in the power of the individual to rise above his circumstances. Conservatives refuse to play the victim game. Conservatives see incredible potential in all human life. Conservatives believe in the power of individual citizens coming together with a common interest in order to promote the good of those individuals.

Man is not an animal incapable of responsible behavior. A man and a woman are capable of making choices so as not to produce a child. Abstinence, anyone? If you're rolling your eyes right now, you simply do not believe in the power of an individual to make a responsible decision, and you're exactly about whom I'm writing.

There are many that claim to care for the "unwanted baby" that is produced as a result of irresponsible behavior. They care so much so, they say, that they are willing to kill the baby to spare him/her the perceived suffering he/she might possibly endure at some point in his/her life. How compasstionate they are! Those Conservatives who want the baby to be born are so devoid of compassion. Promoting adoption, funding church food pantries & clothing rooms, coaching baseball teams and gymnastics, holding a job for the single mom so she can take her child to the hospital during work hours, promoting school choice so that any child can get the best education available. . .that's not love and compassion. Oh, no, aborting the baby before it is born is the mark of true compassion. Are you kidding? How did things get so turned around?

Things got turned around when the Pro-Abortion crowd realized that to be perceived as baby-killers would not be a good thing for them. Additionally, they couldn't be honest about their underlying intention of using abortion as a form of eugenics, or eliminating the less desirable, namely minorities. . .look it up. (For more on this, read Chapters 1-5 of Jealous God: Science's Crusade Against Religion, by Pamela Winnick [read XEKE.com's review], or investigate Maragaret Sanger or anyone else affiliated with the Planned Parenthood movement.) They had to put a positive, compassionate spin on eliminating life, and so the idea of considering the suffering of the "unwanted child" was, literally, born.

So Liberals and Pro-Abortionists: spare me the lectures about compassion and love. Spare me the religious lectures about how I'm interpreting my Bible incorrectly. Spare me the pedestal upon which you place yourself. If you want to go on killing babies, so be it. . .but don't dare try to convince me that you're the compassionate, God-fearing participant in the conversation.
