Re: question the Left's patriotism
There are a lot of problems in the world that need to be solved. Questioning the patriotism of people who disagree with you doesn't help to solve problems or to move dialogue forward. That's the sad part, Greg, there are Americans who want America to lose. In no part of the column was it stated that all those opposed to the war oppose American success, but it cannot be denied that some who oppose the war desire American failure. No other conclusion can be drawn from the words and actions of the American (borderline and extreme) Left. (In other words, if the American Left wanted America to lose the war, how would they act any differently?) And until these folks are identified for who they are, little progress can be made. Senator Reid's "admission" would have landed him in jail during Lincoln's day for treason. His giving aid and comfort to our enemies by his words and by his legislative proposals has had, and is having, devastating effects world-wide. The strategy to debate is eliminating the enemy; completely destroying them. Additionally, your trick to separate the War on Terror from what is going on in Iraq is such an old Leftist game that it boggles the mind. Perhaps if you say it enough times, though, then it will be so. Thank you for participating on XEKE.com.
